Royal Rubber Stamp & Sign Co. played a vital role in the transformation of the Edmonton Humane Society when it made its move to the state-of-the-art Chappelle Centre for Animal Care in April 2009. Royal Rubber Stamp realized this new building was much more than just an animal shelter – it represented a new beginning for the organization as well as the thousands of animals that pass through its doors every year.

Royal Rubber Stamp’s creative team worked collaboratively with the Edmonton Humane Society’s director, Stephanie McDonald, to design a custom signage package that reflected her vision and the passion of her team. Signage had to be durable to withstand the curiosity of four-legged companions while also complementing the new facility and the organization’s budget.

The final signage package included all interior and exterior signage, consisting of donor walls, educational signs, room identification, directional and wayfinding signage and signage for the main monument, which greets visitors upon arrival to the facility. Royal Rubber Stamp designed, fabricated and installed all signage following extensive consultations with the Edmonton Humane Society and also created the organization’s new logo. Royal Rubber Stamp provides ongoing sign upkeep, which typically consists of annual updates to the donor wall as well as sponsor signage.

In appreciation for and in recognition of the Edmonton Humane Society’s ongoing efforts to “Complete families one life at a time,” Royal Rubber Stamp was pleased to donate the vehicle graphics used on the organization’s Animal Rescue and Response vehicle and trailer, which helps identify the rescue units as they arrive on important missions.

The Edmonton Humane Society was recently added to Google Street View. You can tour the facility here.
